Abstracts of Individual Indian Money Accounts, 1914–1914

This series consists of abstracts of individual Indian money, or IIM. The records are ledgers that provide information on transactions and activity related to IIM accounts. The information provided for each account includes the name, year of birth, and gender of the Indian; the official receipt numbers and the sources of funds for money received into the account; the check numbers and the bank name from which payments were made out of the account; the corresponding journal voucher number and remarks for each transaction; the amounts of receipts and payments; and the account balance.

Hayward Boarding School

The Hayward Indian School in Hawyward, Wisconsin, was opened in 1901 as a boarding school for the Chippewa of the Lac Courte Oreille Reservation. It was subordinate to the La Pointe Agency until 1904. About 1911 it was given agency duties for the reservation. The school was closed in 1934, and its duties were transferred to the Lac du Flambeau Agency. ...
